Routine Foot Care

Schoppe Foot & Ankle offers routine foot care designed to help you maintain your foot health and comfort. Podiatrist-performed foot care is especially important for elderly and diabetic patients, who may have difficulty taking care of their feet or who need to pay close attention to their foot health

Whirlpool Treatment

Your office visits include a relaxing whirlpool session that softens your skin and nails and enhances your comfort during treatment. Most podiatric practices do not offer this beneficial therapy.

Great office. I was very nervous going in, and very relaxed and happy going out. They soak your feet in a warm whirlpool, which was very relaxing, and they explain and answer all questions. I will recommend this office to all who are in need of a professional and kind podiatry office.”

Ultrasound Treatment

This non-surgical treatment can be an effective therapeutic option if you suffer with chronic plantar fasciitis and heel pain. The great majority of plantar fasciitis cases can be resolved with treatments like orthotic inserts and stretching exercises. If, however, you have tried conventional treatments and are still experiencing pain, ultrasound therapy can provide additional relief. The treatment uses targeted sound waves to break up painful adhesions and scar tissue on the plantar fascia and heel. It increases blood flow and circulation to the injured area, removes waste from the tissue, and reduces swelling and inflammation. This treatment is quick and does not require sedation.

“Everyone who works here is friendly and very knowledgeable of their jobs. Dr Joe is great, makes you feel welcome, always has a smile. Very considerate of your pain and has great knowledge of how to help relieve it”.

Checking up on your foot health

Each foot care visit includes a thorough inspection of your feet. We’ll examine your nails and skin, and note differences in foot temperature that could indicate a circulatory or diabetic problem. We’ll trim your cuticles and nails and look for issues that need to be addressed, such as ingrown or fungal nails, corns or calluses, and abrasions or skin cracks. We’ll massage your feet to enhance circulation, and apply medication and ointments as needed.

“Dr. Joe Schoppe is attentive to my issues and very professional. I am diabetic and see him for routine monitoring.”

Step into Relief: Discover Our Orthotic Solutions

Orthotic devices such as shoe inserts, arch supports, heel liners and braces are designed to support and comfort your feet. They are often needed to correct ailments such as plantar fasciitis, high or fallen arches, heel pain, and flat or aching feet. Correctly prescribed orthotics can decrease or eliminate foot pain, control abnormal motion, and improve overall function. We are pleased to offer prescription orthotics for patients who require this option, but can address most issues with over-the-counter products at a fraction of the cost of custom orthotics.

“I want to thank Dr. Paul Schoppe for treating my plantar fasciitis so quickly and getting me back on the tennis courts pain-free. I was suffering from pain in both feet for several weeks. I already had a pair of orthotics from Dr. Paul so he made some adjustments to both. Thanks again!”

Keeping you on the move

By taking periodic care of your feet and proactively addressing any issues that may develop, the Schoppe medical team will preserve your foot health and help you to stay mobile and active

“When I moved to Florida several years ago I needed to find doctors for my needs. As I suffer from peripheral neuropathy I needed a good podiatrist. After trying several Podiatrists I found Shoppe Podiatry. Dr. Paul & Joe Schoppe are from a family of Podiatrists including his father and his brothers. After seeing Dr Schoppe he recommended Nobile Shoes in Stuart, Florida where I was fitted with new Orthodics. With my new orthotics and treatment from Dr. Schoppe my feet are in the best shape they’ve been in years. I strongly recommend Schoppe Podiatry located adjacent to Fresh Market”
